Meet Pastor

Passion

The small town of Miramar, Nicaragua (population 600) is one of the best places in the world to surf. Within walking distance you'll find waves for every level, all year round.

I've spent my life surfing these waves, and have been a professional surf instructor for the past 10 years. I provide 1:1, hands-on training both on the sand and in the water.  I do everything I can to make sure all my clients have the best experience.

Point of View

Many of my students walk away with a new level of confidence and excitement in the sport of surfing. They often times will travel on to other places inside and outside of Nicaragua with a fresh new set of skills, and can jump into the ocean, without hesitation, to surf the waves on their own.

I have also heard that my love for my country, is infectious, and many people walk away with a new love for my culture, my people, and the simplicity of life we offer here.

Credibility

Growing up in the small fishing village of Las Penitas, Nicaragua, I've been in and surrounded by the water my whole life. I discovered my love of surfing when I was 10 years old, but it was when a friend from Brazil shared with me how to train a person to surf, that I truly found my calling.

There’s not a day that I’m not in the water either teaching or surfing on my own and there aren’t words to describe the immense joy you feel when you drop into the perfect barrel, or you’ve seen someone stand up on their own for the very first time.

There really should be a word in the English language to describe that specific type of smile one has when it’s their first wave, because it is incredible. Full of joy – and you get this deep sense of satisfaction knowing you helped to put that smile there.
